Sidney V. Garcia was born December 16, 1966. He gets his inspiration from his niece Jasmine. Sidney is a founding member of the Riptide Band. He actually started out playing the bass in the band. He then transferred over to the guitar and keyboards. After a gig in which the regular drummer was sick Sidney took over the percussion section and never looked back. Sidney plays standing up the whole show and his energy comes from Red Bull and chasing Zingers with grapefruit juice.

Sidney's favorite music to play is a surfbeat played in a minor chord or a fast chuggin' train rythm.

When Sidney is not playing (sometimes while) he loves to eat. Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream, pineapple upside down cake, and grilled chicken alfredo. Sid loves to put people in a good mood with a kind word or an excellent pasta dish.

Sidney has only a few dislikes and they are negative people, somewhat poetic conversation to repetative and annoying beats (some call it RAP), hot food, and tequila.

What many people do not know about Sidney is that clowns mke him nervous and he carries a small blue rock in his pocket that his daughter Cydnie Cheyenne gave him, for good luck.

Sidney's equipment list:

A brand new set of Gretsch green sparkle drums ,old set of TAMA drum set custom painted by Sidney, set of Yamaha marching quads, Yamaha marching snare, Sabien cymbals, and Pro Mark drumsticks.
